SYNETS represents a complex tool that allows the user to obtain an overall overview about the actual happenings in the network. The directory access service LDAP is used to store the topology information and its data can be used further by other aplications.

The systems allows an immediate view about the happenings in the network - overall topology overview, description of individual components connected to the network, services provided by individual stations/servers. Its ability should be to monitor the actual state of the network and its evaluation (implementation of BM).

Thanks to the modularity of the system it is possible to create a complex tool, which will be able to handle the centralised administration of any network component (remote connection to individual stations and network components, configuration of SQL servers, automatic script generation, ...)

One of the project goals is to design adequate methods and cycles of operation for achieving optimal computer nework administration. These goals include mainly the design of appropriate algorithms and methodics, that would help the system to independently decide/warn about potential problems or propose optimal solutions for them.
